Through the Construction Training Program, Mysheia “Mimi” Millings-Wiley gained hands-on construction experience, learned from Habitat’s longtime core volunteers, and discovered a new career direction. Today, she serves as an assistant site supervisor with Habitat, helping build homes alongside families in our community.

Her advice to anyone considering the program? “Don’t think about it. Just do it.”

On Friday, Delta Air Lines volunteers joined us for our first-ever Rock the Lot cleanup!

Together, the group spent the day clearing debris, picking up limbs and rocks, and trimming overgrowth from a future Habitat Home property.

Thank you to the Delta team for helping us take another step toward creating a cleaner, more welcoming space in the community!

On Saturday, we celebrated the dedication of Tina and her family’s home!

Tina looks forward to having more spaces to enjoy with her son, especially a yard. Their home will be a great place to grow and become their forever home.

“This home of ours represents so much more than just a house. It represents how far we’ve come and the life I’ve worked hard to build for myself and my son" shared Tina.

Congratulations, Tina!
