The Cincinnati Parent Empowerment Network is profoundly saddened by the passing of Dolly Parton, a remarkable icon whose generosity and dedication to education and community have left an indelible mark on countless lives. Dolly’s unwavering commitment to fostering a love of reading and learning through her Imagination Library has been a beacon of hope and opportunity for families across the country, including ours.

Thanks to her visionary work, we have been able to directly distribute thousands of free, brand-new, culturally relevant books to children and families in our community. These books have helped launch and sustain in-home libraries, providing children with valuable tools for early literacy, learning, and imagination—especially for those who might not have had access to such resources otherwise.

Dolly’s legacy of kindness, empowerment, and community service continues to inspire us to do more in support of children and families. We are grateful for her impact, and her memory will forever motivate our efforts to create a brighter, more equitable future through education. Rest in peace, Dolly Parton—your light will continue to shine in the hearts of many.
