What a trip! Two weekends ago, 31 Cincinnati teens, accompanied by 8 chaperones, embarked on an inspiring journey through the Southern, exploring key historical sites and engaging in powerful learning experiences. From profound conversations on the bus to walking in the footsteps of those who came before us. Our teens delved into the heart of the Civil Rights Movement, connecting deeply with the stories and struggles that have shaped our nation.

Participant Asher Buchwald shared, “The trip was an amazing experience. We learned a lot of history, made new friends, and had fun.” This journey was not just a trip but a transformative expedition that offered our teens invaluable insights into the fight for justice and equality.

Special thanks to the chaperones, Etgar 36, The Jewish Foundation of Cincinnati, Jewish Federation of Cincinnati, Jewish Community Relations Council of Cincinnati, YWCA Greater Cincinnati, Woodward High School for making this trip possible.

Oh, and there is more! YOU WILL GET PAID! 💵! Woohooo. You’ll be paid $13.00 an hour for 2-4 hours/week. How about that?

🎨You will get to be around other teens as you help design and implement strategies to make Cincinnati a more inclusive and engaging place for Jewish teens, Jew-ish teens, and teens in general.

We had a great time with friends on Sunday. We will share more details including how teens are planning these sessions, how parents are small grouping nearby, how one teen plans to host a podcast, and how a nearby cat wanted to join our gathering! For now, just want to say thanks to the teens for bringing such joy into the space.

New teen experience alert ‼️ Join us every Thursday from 3-5pm at the ish Garage for an exciting opportunity to unwind and connect with your fellow teens. It’s open hours for you to chill, have fun, and create your ideal teen programming. Come, hang out, and make memories with friends in a relaxed, welcoming environment 🫶
