What do you do when a crisis turns into a conclusion—when the news arrives that the very thing you were praying for is officially dead?

In Mark 5, Jairus was hit with the ultimate breaking point: “Your daughter is dead. Why bother the teacher anymore?”

"Why bother?" is the signature whisper of a finished dream. It tells you the papers are signed, the doors are locked, and holding onto hope is just a waste of time. But the Scripture shows us something powerful: Jesus ignored the report.

He told Jairus, “Do not be afraid; just believe.” Then He cleared the room of the mockers and mourners, took the girl by the hand, and spoke: “Talitha koum!” (Little girl, I say to you, get up!).

Jesus doesn't just manage our grief; He reverses the outcome. When people tell you it’s too late, remember that He doesn't just work within time—He owns the clock.

37 years ago today, two kids aged 17 and 18 took a leap of faith and said "I do." We didn’t know exactly where the road would lead, but we knew we were walking it together.

Today, I am looking back with a heart full of gratitude. From those young versions of us to the life we’ve built now—four children, nine beautiful grandchildren, and a journey that has taken us across the globe—I couldn't have asked for a better partner.

Not only have we shared a home and a family, but we’ve had the distinct honor of serving side-by-side as missionaries, sharing hope with the world together. Through every mountain top and every deep valley, we have remained faithful to our calling and to each other.

Happy 37th Anniversary to my wife, my partner in ministry, and my best friend. The adventure continues! 🥂❤️

GOD IS GOOD! 🙌
Yesterday, I shared the heavy story of a mama in our community facing the impossible choice between a job and a home after totaling her car.

Today, I’m standing in awe of how quickly help arrived.

A massive, heartfelt thank you to our dear friends Alex and Destiny Kennedy, the Presidents and CEO of Hope Rescued in Louisville, KY.

Without hesitation, they stepped up and donated a 2007 SUV to this hardworking mother!

Because of their generosity, she won’t lose her job. Her babies won’t lose their home. The "gap" has been bridged, and hope has been rescued.
