We received a $250 donation last week that fully funded both of this week's pollinator habitat restoration projects! We initiated the restoration of Cardinal Land Conservancy's Marshall Ave property, and we installed pollinator-friendly bushes at Wyoming North Park's project.

Thank you, PEP Promotions, for choosing to support us. We certainly appreciate you!

At QCPP, we have been working cooperatively with several like-minded nonprofits to build a better pollinator-friendly community.

QCPP & Civic Garden Center will be working at the newly acquired Cardinal Land Conservancy site in Clifton tomorrow, with help from University of Cincinnati employees on their service day.

We are using the techniques from this helpful Cincinnati Parks video about honeysuckle removal. We often get questions about that, so here is a good resource.

While you might not agree with using chemicals to combat invasive species, this "dauber" method is the best we have found to keep these aggressive invasives at bay while still protecting our pollinators.

Our next free webinar is one week from today!

Sara Dykman is the author of "Bicycling with Butterflies," a chronicle of her 10,201-mile bike ride following the monarch migration. Her forthcoming book about frogs (her first love) is proof that following your passion is more important than being an expert at the start.

Join us at 1 p.m. on May 19 to hear Sara's story. Find the link in the comments to sign up!
