๐—›๐—ข๐— ๐—˜ ๐—ก๐—˜๐—˜๐——๐—˜๐—— for Slugger! ๐Ÿšจ This Shepherd-ish boy has been in our care for 37 days and we truly don't know why. He would thrive in many homes!

He went on his first day trip this week and did fantastic! Slugger loved exploring at Avoca Trail before relaxing on a bench for plenty of pets. He was a total champ in the car, happily watching the world go by, then wrapped up his outing at 50 West Brewery with a toy, a hamburger, and lots of love. Slugger is full of happy puppy energy and would thrive with an active family ready for adventures, playtime, and helping him grow into the amazing dog he's sure to become. He appears potty trained, loves affection, and can't wait to find a home of his own.

He's playful with other dogs and loves to roughhouse in playgroup at the shelter. No info on cats or kids since he has never been to foster care. Estimated to be around a year old and 50lbs, this guy would make a great companion for almost anyone!

๐Ÿ“ Meet him any day of the week from 1-6pm at 4210 Dane Avenue in Cincinnati, OH. Adoption fees for adult dogs are $75 plus a $19.75 dog license if you live in Hamilton County. $5 service fee applies to every adoption. Ask about our Foster to Adopt program!

๐Ÿ‘‰ Please share to get this easy dog a home! Let's not make this easy placement wait any longer.

Dexter was adopted as a puppy and is back in our care, one year later. ๐Ÿฅบ He's a year old now, still pretty shy, but opens up quickly to new friends. He loves neck scratches, soft affection, and being told he's a good boy!

Dexter has a long body and short wittle legs that we are OBSESSED with. (See our video we posted yesterdayโ€“he's the last one featured!) He's awaiting a dog assessment since he just got back to the shelter, but should get one this week. He has done well in the past interacting with cats when he was a puppy. We learned that he would do best in a home with older (10+) or no kids as they make him uncomfortable. That's okay. Kids aren't for everyone. But this baby still needs to find future family!

๏ปฟ๐Ÿ“ธ BONUS: When you adopt an older rescue pet, you don't get to see how they looked as babies. This isn't the case with Dexter! His adopters can be sent with ALL of his baby pictures that his amazing previous foster took of him!

๏ปฟ๐Ÿ“Please visit us at 3949 Colerain Avenue in Cincinnati, OH to meet Dexter or any of his friends from 1-5:30pm any day of the week.

Pictured here is Kentucky, she is currently in a pop-up crate and is on a habor hold so you won't see her on the website, but she still needs a foster!

We have animals onsite that are cruelty cases, habors, or on stray hold so they cannot be seen on the website but they still can leave the shelter as a foster!

If you are not in the space to adopt consider fostering! ๐…๐Ž๐’๐“๐„๐‘๐ˆ๐๐† ๐ˆ๐’ ๐…๐‘๐„๐„๐ŸŽ‰ We provide all the supplies and it creates an open kennel for the next animal that comes into our care.

๐Ÿ‘‰Apply to be a foster online or come fill out the application in person. We desperately need to make kennel space, even fostering for an overnight can make a difference.
