🌟 Survivor. Advocate. Creator. 🌟

These are just a few words that describe Courtney Bussell, nominee for the Kimberly Colleen Rhyan Cancer Free Award.

Courtney's battle with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia tested her physically, mentally, and emotionally. Yet through every challenge, she continued to rise. Today, she channels her lived experience into helping others through disability advocacy, wellness education, art, modeling, and community support.

Her journey reminds us that scars tell stories of strength, and survival can become a beacon of hope for others still finding their way.

Join us as we honor Courtney and all of our remarkable nominees at the 5th Annual Survivor's Ball.

🏆 Ed Mabrey Man of the Year Nominee Spotlight 🏆

Arts Equity Collective proudly recognizes Walt Coleman Jr. Walt Coleman as a nominee for the Ed Mabrey Man of the Year Award.

“In the last year I have lost my wife of 40 years, my father, my mentor, two very close cousins and have had two back surgeries, through it all I stand here today.” -Walt Coleman Jr.

Over the past year, Walt has endured tremendous loss, including the passing of his wife of 40 years, his father, his mentor, and two close cousins. He also faced the challenge of undergoing two back surgeries.

Yet through it all, he continues to stand strong.

Walt's journey is a testament to resilience, perseverance, and the strength it takes to keep moving forward when life feels overwhelming. We are honored to celebrate his courage and determination.
