Come join us at the Spring Volksmarch on April 24th. This is a great way to safely, enjoy the great outdoors in a German style 5k or 10k walk.
Register any time between 9 am -12:30 pm for the walk. You will have until 4:30 pm to complete the walk. Admission is $3 per person and $5 if you would like a commemorative pin. Registration, food and drinks will all be available in the Pavilion.

5k and 10k German Style Walk A Volksmarch (people’s march) is a non-competitive leisurely walk along a marked trail. The goal of a Volksmarch is to develop physical fitness, and good health and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow walkers.

The health and safety of all our Members and guests is our top priority. Due to recent developments regarding COVID-19, the April Volksmarch is cancelled. This decision was not taken lightly, but is the necessary course of action to protect the Club, our Members, and our guests. Please check back this fall to obtain information regarding our Fall Volksmarch.

This is the new Germania 2019 Fall Volksmarch event pin!! The theme is all about PRETZELS! 🥨🍺🥨🍺🥨Come to the Volksmarch on Saturday, October 26 and get YOUR pin! Walk our 5k or 10k trail or come for a delicious homemade German meal with desserts and lots of drink options available. A variety of German biers are always plentiful and flowing from several taps. SAVE THE DATE! We’re hoping for awesome weather to sit outside in our beautiful Biergarten and enjoy the bounty of Fall! There is plenty of indoor ambiance to enjoy, too, if Mother Nature throws us a curve!🥨🍺🥨

One of the specialties that will be served at our walk on Saturday, April 27th is the authentic
Berliner Currywurst.
Unlike the curry flavored wursts that are served at festivals around our area, the Berliner Currywurst is served with “curry ketchup” and the Currywurst is all about the sauce and not the sausage. The sausage is cut into bite sized pieces, covered with the curry ketchup and sprinkled with additional curry powder.
It is traditionally accompanied with Pomme Frites and served in a paper tray with a small wood or plastic fork.

5K and 11K Walk on Saturday, April 27th.

This walk is dedicated to the Germania Jagdhorn Bläser Gruppe who have provided entertainment at our walks for the past 15 years. They also play at engagements throughout the Tri-state as well as being invited and playing at Munich’s 2019 Oktoberfest parade. We are so proud of them.
