The Hub closed out national bike month collecting 182 bikes and diverting more than 5800 pounds from the landfill! This is double the number of bikes collected last year! Many of these bikes will find new homes throughout the community, thanks to Queen City Bike, Lockland Bikes, and MoBo Bicycle Co-op. Thirty youth bikes have already been placed with new owners!
In addition to the bikes, we collected 600 pounds of tubes and tires, which Hamilton County Resource will cover the cost to recycle. We collected countless parts and accessories, including 10 bike trainers that are going to The Bridge Adaptive Sports and Recreation. A huge thanks to the Hub's Jenny Brewer for coordinating it all!
