The Lee County Sheriff’s Office launched an investigation after surveillance footage captured a horrifying act. 🐾💔

The footage showed 55-year-old Anthony Bellman arriving at a dumpster in a blue minivan. He was seen removing a bag, believed to contain Xyla, from his trunk and callously tossing it into the dumpster. Authorities are following up to ensure justice for the victim and to prevent further cruelty.

This tragic incident is a stark reminder of why we must protect vulnerable animals and hold abusers accountable. Every life matters.

Happy First Gotcha Day to BFP alum, Judy! 🐶❤️

Three days ago, sweet Judy celebrated the anniversary of finding her forever family. Her mom shared, “She has brought more joy to our family than we ever could have imagined. She’s so loving, smart, and absolutely hilarious.”

To the new fosters and adopters of Ridglan Farms rescues, hang in there! Judy quickly overcame fears of doors closing, stairs, walks, the wind, busy streets, television, buses, motorcycles, the dishwasher, and the doorbell. The only things she still fears are trash trucks and chihuahuas!

We’re thrilled to hear that Judy is thriving and conquering her fears with her supportive family by her side. ❤️

See the dog’s eyes… how could someone do this to him? 🐾💔

A tiny German Shepherd puppy was found sitting alone inside a parked SUV on a hot Ohio afternoon while the people who brought him there spent hours enjoying a day at a theme park. Officers said the little puppy looked exhausted, curled up on the floor, struggling in the heat with barely opened windows and no water inside.

Police and park workers quickly rescued the puppy after learning he had reportedly been trapped for more than three hours. The frightened little dog was given water immediately and later moved to a safe daycare area inside the park. Authorities located the woman believed to have left him there, and she was taken into custody.

Many people online say the puppy’s eyes tell the heartbreaking story without a single word. 🐶❤️

When a tornado tore through Deer Park, Officer Joel Nitchman had already made it to safety — but then he realized someone was missing: his K9 partner, Roni. 🌪️🐾

The warning sirens were blaring and debris flew through the air, but Joel didn’t hesitate. Knowing Roni was still trapped inside the patrol car, he ran straight back into the storm. Battling hurricane-force winds and near-zero visibility, he struggled to reach the vehicle and force the door open.

Inside, terrified by the chaos, Roni refused to move. But Joel wasn’t leaving without him. Seconds later, the officer and his longtime K9 partner emerged from the storm together and made it back to safety.

“I love that dog. He’s my hip attachment almost every day of the week. He’s a part of our family. We can’t leave a loved one like that,” Joel said. ❤️

Their bond proves that when danger comes, love doesn’t calculate — it runs into the storm.

Senior beagle Frida has finally found her sunshine after years of neglect and hardship. 🐶❤️

Once chained outside, underweight, missing fur, and limping from untreated injuries, Frida endured heartbreak and physical pain. Her teeth are worn down, and she faces heartworm and arthritis, yet her tail still wags.

Now, she’s learning love doesn’t hurt. She curls up beside her people, follows sunlight across the floor, and enjoys warm meals and soft beds for the first time. Her gentle persistence and soulful eyes remind us that even the most broken hearts can heal when given a safe home.

Frida’s perfect day: comfort, sun, and kindness — the second chance she’s long deserved.
