After purchasing some promotional screwdrivers with the Deaf Streetlight logo on them, they reached out to support us by featuring Deaf Streetlight on their website and on social media. Hello friends!

This is our "CHAMP" annual Deaf Camp, and we are excited to continue this special event. This year’s camp will be held at Camp Allendale again - in Trafalgar, Indiana. Camp dates are from July 30 to August 2.

We want to clarify that this camp in Indiana is still moving forward as planned. Recently, there was some confusion between our camp and another camp in Tennessee that we were helping to promote.

Our team has been meeting monthly and we’re excited about a few updates you’ll notice this year! One change is a simplified Sunday schedule with a greater focus on family-centered worship.

The theme is “Unashamed.” Throughout the weekend, we will explore what it means to live unashamed through workshops, fellowship, and fun activities.

Help Needed – Deaf Ministry Support (Rise Church, Dyer, IN)

We’re looking for individuals who may be able to help support Deaf ministry efforts—especially in interpreting—at Rise Church in Dyer, Indiana (Northwest Indiana / Chicagoland area).

My family visited this church a couple of years ago, and we truly enjoyed their service. It’s encouraging to see that they now have about 6 regular Deaf attendees, and there is a growing need for support.

At this time, we’d like to share information about the Christian Camp for the Deaf.

For those living in the southern region, we encourage you to check it out! The camp is located near the Chattanooga, TN area and is open to all ages and families.

Hello! We’re excited to share some details about the National Christian Convention of the Deaf (NCCD) happening this fall!

📅 October 1–4, 2026 (Thursday–Sunday)
📍 First Church – Burlington, KY (about 20 minutes south of Cincinnati)

Deaf Streetlight is honored to host this year’s event, marking the 30th gathering of NCCD!

NCCD is a time for the Deaf and signing community to come together to:

🤝 Fellowship
🙏 Pray and grow in faith

✨ What’s new this year?
🤟 A one-day interpreting workshop (Saturday) with CEU opportunities
🏓 A fun pickleball session (Friday) for those who want to learn and play

Miss your chance to see the Auschwitz Exhibit at the Cincinnati Museum Center?? Well they are offering ANOTHER Auschwitz Deaf Day with interpreted audio guide stops!

This second (and last) opportunity for the interpreted Auschwitz Deaf Day exhibit will be Saturday, April 4th at 8:30!

*Note: the ticket is for the 9am slot, but be there at 8:30 to get your ticket, get the exhibit directions, find the interpreters and the tour group and get started on that first audio guide interpreted spot by 8:45!

**ALSO know: the tour lasts about 3 hours, and caution is advised for children under the age of 12/13 due to exhibit content.
