The Conservation Committee is holding quite a few events through the end of the year. We've got planting, we've got invasive plant removal, we've got native seed giveaways, and we've always got knowledge sharing at every event.
Now is a great time to come and join us on projects we've been working on and jump in at the beginning for a new project we are starting!
Sunday, 10/18 - 2-4PM. Kennedy Heights Park. We will be planting shrubs, trees, and spreading seeds in areas we have cleared of invasive plants and probably clearing more invasive plants. Events at Kennedy Heights Park require registration through Cincinnati Parks.
Sunday, 10/25 - 12-2 PM. St. Peter's Pocket Park. Native Seed Giveaway. We will be distributing nearly 20 native seed varieties at our increasingly impressive native pollinator garden at the Pocket Park. This is a great opportunity to try a new plant in your yard…for free! If you plant them, the pollinators will come.
Wednesday, 10/28 - 930-1130AM. Kennedy Heights Park. We will again be planting shrubs, trees, and spreading seeds in areas we have cleared of invasive plants and probably clearing some more invasive plants. Events at Kennedy Heights Park require registration through Cincinnati Parks.
Please fill out our Conservation Committee interest form to stay in the loop on these and other projects we have coming soon.
Let us know where your interests lie and we will keep you updated on progress and events for that project. Thank you for your interest! Learn more about Conservation here.
