GREAT AMERICAN BALLPARK USHERS:

If you are working this weekend and you live in the northern suburbs or farther north, be aware of the following traffic alert that could affect your drive home after each game:

A full weekend closure of northbound I-75 through the Lockland Split (between Galbraith Road/SR 126 and Shepherd Lane) is taking place from 11:00 p.m. Friday, May 29 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, June 1, 2026, for pavement repairs.

Closure Details & Detours:

Mainline Closure: I-75 Northbound will be completely shut down starting Friday at 11 p.m., with left lane and ramp restrictions beginning as early as 9 p.m.

Ramp Closures: Entrance ramps from Galbraith Road and eastbound SR 126 to I-75 North are also closed.

Detour Route: Motorists will be detoured off at Exit 10C onto eastbound SR 126, merged onto northbound I-71, and then routed to westbound I-275 to reconnect with I-75.

GREAT AMERICAN BALLPARK USHERS:

Today's game vs. St. Louis was postponed until Monday, August 17, at 1:40 pm. It will be a split doubleheader that day with 2 different In Position Times. The regularly-scheduled night game will start at 6:40. The extra day game will now give returning Ushers 87 opportunities to meet the 41-event minimum to be considered for rehiring next season.

All Union Ushers who reported to work today will earn:

4 hours of pay (it will appear on your ABIMM Time Report later)
1 credit towards your 41-event minimum
1 GABP Union Seniority Point

Great American Ballpark Ushers:

Here is the basic summary of Saturday's doubleheader on the heels of Friday night's rainout:

ALL WHO SIGNED UP WILL WORK, WHETHER IT'S ONE OR BOTH GAMES

REDS EMAIL SAID YOU CAN SIGN UP UNTIL 10:00 AM THIS MORNING

Wear your red polo shirt for both games.

If you work both games, don't clock out.

One (1) GABP Seniority Point per game
(2 for any game ending at least 3.5 hours after the scheduled start time)

One (1) credit per game towards your 41-game requirement to be rehired next season.

All other information that was sent in emails by the Reds and President Curran is still intact, so please check them and watch for any more updates from the Reds.

PAYCOR STADIUM USHERS:

Bengals schedule just dropped!

2 preseason and 8 regular season home games, including New Years Eve.

Chief Usher Tom Maphet, Stewards Hope McGuinness and Deb Morton, and I are trying to schedule a meeting with BEST Crowd Management's Paycor Stadium team to get hiring and rehiring information. You will get that information as soon as we get it.

Don't worry if you can't login to BEST's ABIMM system, yet. We will make sure that all accounts are unlocked in plenty of time to schedule your games for the season.

You might have been getting emails from BEST about working other events at Paycor and at their other venues. We only have a Union contract to work football for BEST at Paycor Stadium. Other events like concerts are negotiated separately. We aren't working the Cincinnati Music Festival on July 24-25 or the Chris Stapleton concert on August 1. We never have enough to work the Music Festival. Normally, we would get a contract to work a show like Chris Stapleton, but there is a Reds game that night, so we would not have enough Ushers to adequately staff our sections.

HERITAGE BANK CENTER USHERS:

Cyclones schedule just dropped!

36 regular season home game from October 24-April 9.

We'll see the usual common opponents from the Central Division, but we also some teams that have never played at HBC or don't play here often: Tahoe Knight Monsters, Florida Everblades, Trois Rivieres Lions (from Canada)

No more 7:35 night games! Most are at 7:05 and some are earlier!

HBC also added WWE Smackdown on Friday, September 4.

And Paw Patrol Live is this weekend!

Please consider working if Darrell Breen contacts you or consider reporting as a standby if Darrell hasn't contacted you by the day of the event. Please respond to his messages promptly, even if your answer is "No", and don't leave him hanging with a delayed response. If you agree to work an event, please do your best to honor your commitment. If you need to call off after committing, please do so as soon as possible. Don't be a "no-show." Please text him if you plan to report as a standby so he knows how many people he will have on hand. It isn't mandatory to do that, but he would appreciate it because it helps him plan out the event staffing.

If you haven't worked at HBC in a while, please consider becoming active there again. We need Ushers to work, especially when there are conflicts with events at our other venues and for big events like concerts.

If you want to get hired to work at HBC, contact Darrell and he will assist you in the hiring process.

Here is the updated real-time HBC schedule. Report Time is usually 30 minutes before the doors open, but that could differ for some events. We will let you know if that is different for an event. Check the INFO tab on each event to see the door opening times.
