It is with great pleasure that we announce newest Board member and Treasurer, Shelanda!
Shelanda Frazier is a seasoned finance and community-focused leader with more than 20 years of experience spanning financial management, commercial and small-business lending, credit risk, compliance, and portfolio management. She currently serves as Chief Operating & Credit Officer for the Greater Cincinnati Microenterprise Initiative, where she oversees day-to-day office operations and manages the organization’s loan portfolio, supporting access to capital and economic empowerment for entrepreneurs throughout the Greater Cincinnati region.
Professionally, Shelanda brings deep expertise in financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting, credit underwriting, regulatory compliance, and strategic planning. Her career includes progressive leadership roles at organizations such as Kroger, Cooperative Business Services, and Fifth Third Bank, where she managed multimillion-dollar portfolios, partnered with executive leadership, and drove process improvements that strengthened financial performance and risk management. She is known for her data-driven approach, collaborative leadership style, and ability to translate complex financial information into actionable insights for boards, executives, and community stakeholders.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Shelanda has an extensive record of community service and nonprofit leadership. She has served in multiple finance and governance roles for community and professional organizations and is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., where she has been a member since 2003. She recently completed service on her current chapter's Executive Committee as Financial Secretary and currently serves as Co-Chair of the Strategic Planning Committee, contributing to long-term visioning, organizational effectiveness, and fiscal stewardship. Shelanda is deeply committed to initiatives centered on economic development, financial empowerment, workforce development, and equity, and she brings this same dedication to her role as Treasurer, emphasizing transparency, accountability, and mission-aligned impact.
Outside of her professional and civic work, Shelanda is a creative spirit who enjoys the arts and culture scene, including concerts, plays, comedy shows, and festivals. She has experience in runway modeling, loves to travel, and values experiences that foster creativity, connection, and global perspective. Above all, she is passionate about serving her community and leveraging her professional expertise to help organizations thrive and make a lasting impact.
