At Paw in Hand Project, the way we speak truly matters. We choose words that honor each person’s journey and highlight their strength, not their struggles.
Instead of asking what is wrong, we ask how we can walk alongside someone and their pet as they rebuild safety and trust. We encourage the use of “I have…,” “I am…,” and “I can…” statements to help identify hope and resilience in every story.
Healing begins when people feel heard, respected, and supported, both for themselves and their pets. 💛

Every number represents a person making a brave decision and a pet who did not have to be left behind. This year alone, we have already received 86 referrals from individuals seeking safety for themselves and their pets. The need is real, and so is the impact we can make together.
