On a recent rainy May weekend six volunteers braved the wet weather to w**d and mulch the Sierra Club Miami Group's Memorial Grove at French Park. The group worked under the direction of Nick Stanton, Miami Group's Grove Coordinator, to complete the area's spring maintenance. Materials and tools were generously provided by the Cincinnati Parks Department.

The Great Ohio Climate March concluded today with the last 3 miles of their 100-plus mile journey and a rally at the Ohio Statehouse. Speakers included State Representative Tristan Rader and march organizers Mary Beth Naim and Jessica Grim. Over 40 marchers then met with representatives to advocate for clean renewable energy.

Save the date!

The Miami Group Annual Picnic will be Sunday, Aug. 9 at the Izaak Walton League Lodge, 544 Branch Hill-Loveland Road, Loveland. You can also join a cycling outing earlier in the day, bring your kayak or canoe for a paddle on the Little Miami River, or come later for music, games, food and fun.
