Logan Purvis Memorial Scholarship Fund On June 5th, 2021, Logan Purvis passed away suddenly due to an enlarged heart. Logan was just 22 years old. Logan was a 2017 graduate of Elder High School.

We are trying to establish a permanent scholarship in Logan's name at Elder High School.

Logan would have been 27 years old today - kinda hard to believe…

After talking with Denise, Brooklyn, and Nick Harris we are changing the fundraising for the Logan Purvis Memorial Scholarship.

Logan's Wings is on Sunday, June 7th at 1pm at Scoreboard
-this is a gathering to honor the memory of Logan.
-friends, family, friends of friends - come have a drink (or 7), a bite to eat, share stories and a couple of laughs.
-you can donate to the scholarship at that time if you want, but there will be no split the pot or other fundraising.

The Logan Purvis Golf Outing is going to be the main fundraising event
-Saturday, June 13th at 8am at Aston Oaks Golf Course
-they are still looking for 5 teams if interested
-you do not have to golf to attend or donate - there will be split the pots throughout the day and gift baskets to bid on.

My Christmas party, aka the social event of the year, is just going to be a Christmas party (although the best Christmas party ever).
-Friday, Dec 18th - place TBA

Each year we are invited to the Elder Scholarship Mass and dinner (last year it was actually on Logan's birthday - March 26th). When you arrive, you are assigned to sit with a student (sponsor) - the last 3 years our student has been Randy Velasquez - he is the student on the right in this photo.

The money we raise for Logan's scholarship does not go to one student, as I understand it, it gets placed into a pot of money and dispersed to students that need financial help. Randy is one of those students. It's really cool to see that Logan's scholarship money has helped Randy (and others) through Elder High School .
