Today at S.W.A.P. (Socializing With A Purpose), OTFLCA was honored to hear from Meagan Guthrie, Director of Addiction Response for Hamilton County, and Hamilton County Commissioner Denise Driehaus as they shared insights on the Hamilton County Addiction Response Coalition (ARC) pillars and the importance of cross-system collaboration in addressing addiction, recovery, prevention, public health, and community engagement.

Conversations like these remind us that meaningful change happens when providers, peers, advocates, first responders, and community leaders come together with a shared purpose. Today’s meeting was filled with connection, collaboration, and a collective commitment to strengthening our communities.

We were also grateful to hear from Tonja with S.O.A.R., who highlighted their life-saving work in harm reduction.

S.O.A.R.
Safety. Outreach. Autonomy. Respect.

Through innovative technology, community connection, and on-the-ground support across Ohio, S.O.A.R. is helping prevent overdoses, save lives, and empower individuals to build healthier, stronger communities.

Thank you to all who attended and continue showing up for this important work. Together, we are making a difference. 🙌

On the Front Lines continues to grow because of strong, passionate leaders dedicated to recovery and community impact.

Our founder, Hannah Schilling, has been resilient, determined, unapologetic, and deeply committed to supporting the Cincinnati community through peer-led recovery efforts. Hannah truly embodies peer support, inspiring countless individuals in recovery and peers throughout the workforce through her compassion, advocacy, and lived experience. We are incredibly grateful for her vision and leadership.

As we continue expanding our mission, we are excited to welcome Samantha Battrell as our new CEO. Samantha’s leadership and passion for recovery will help guide OTFLCA into an amazing new chapter, and we look forward to the impact ahead. 🏆

Huge thank you to all of our incredible community partners across Cincinnati and Southwest Ohio for showing up and engaging in this month’s SWAP meeting! Your continued collaboration and commitment to serving our community makes a real impact.

We also want to give a special thank you to Community Medical Services for presenting today. As a nationally recognized leader in evidence-based treatment for opioid use disorder, their work in providing medications like methadone, buprenorphine, and naltrexone, along with counseling, peer support, and care coordination, is helping transform lives and strengthen recovery across our communities.

We also heard from Jennifer about a first of its kind Ohio provider resource portal, RecoveryRachel, which when launched will have a geographically based treatment finder. This portal, developed by ai experts will feature voice and type options so people using it can guide the portal to find the most relevant and useful providers to address their specific needs. The portal algorithm also is trained to recognize a crisis and respond by directing the person to call 988.

This portal will launch soon and will contain DBH credentialed providers for substance use and mental health services.

Together, we are building stronger systems of care and creating more pathways to long term recovery.

📅 Our next SWAP meeting in Cincinnati will be held at Center for Addiction Treatment on June 2 at 11:30 AM. We hope to see you there!
