AAEAPN in Action – June Highlights!

This month, the African American Ambassadors for Excellence in Advanced Practice Nursing (AAEAPN) showed up and showed out — in unity, in service, and in purpose.

We had a powerful and inspiring AAEAPN meeting, bringing together passionate leaders, trailblazing providers, and committed community builders. Every conversation, every connection, and every idea shared reminded us of our mission: to empower, educate, mentor, and lead.

In celebration of Juneteenth, our AAEAPN members proudly volunteered at the First Aid Comfort & Care Booth at the Cincinnati Juneteenth Festival. We were honored to serve and uplift our community on such a meaningful day of freedom and reflection.

When we show up together, we thrive together.

It’s National Men’s Health Month! Let’s raise awareness and encourage the men in our lives to prioritize wellness.
Heart & Blood Health

💔 Cardiovascular Disease is the #1 killer of men, responsible for ~24% of male deaths. Risk factors include high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obesity, smoking, alcohol and inactivity.
Encourage men to schedule blood pressure and cholesterol checks; aim for 150 minutes of weekly activity .
