Thank you to everyone who attended the health equity forum on January 21st! Your perspective was appreciated and we all learned a lot about the health barriers that Asians face and the possible methods to combat these problems. EMBRACE commits to use our learnings to better support Asians to reach health equity.

A report will be sent to OAAHC, OCMH, and ultimately to legislators. With the information collected this past weekend, better understanding of the Asian community and health policy change can be achieved. Thank you again to everyone who made this possible.

In September of last year, EMBRACE went to Dayton for the Asian Health Equity Forum and was invited to host the next Health Forum in Cincinnati. Sponsored by the Ohio Department of Health and the Ohio Minority Health Council, the purpose of this forum is to understand the health barriers and needs of Asian Americans; to hear their views and to promote policy development for Asian Americans. We hope to have the active participation of Asian people of different ages and backgrounds.

Share your perspective on how Asian access to healthcare can be improved.

‼️Whether you are a student in high school, a working parent, or an Asian senior, we urge you to attend and share your perspective on this issue. Please sign up using the QR code if you plan on going ‼️

Together as a team, EMBRACE has grown so much in 2022. It has been an adventure from hosting social and cultural events to establishing our Grandparents Learning English Channel. A recap of EMBRACE’s actions and progress for the past 7 months ‼️Following our four pillars of action in a mission to improve the lives of Asian seniors in Greater Cincinnati, EMBRACE has strove to support Asian seniors through language resources, social activities, health care information, and transportation, and most importantly, a supporting community.

We want to thank our great team, our sponsors, and our advisors for making all of this possible. We are glad to have made a meaningful impact on the Asian senior community and will continue to do so in the new year.

This past weekend, EMBRACE partnered with the Indian Hill High School Orchestra and hosted their first Multicultural Music Festival‼️ Three generations came together to share music representing diverse cultures. Health care seminar 11/12/22: Thank you Dr. Tao He for giving us an informative talk on oral care, going through the different ways we can better take care of our teeth. Together, fifty seniors and volunteers learned more about oral health and celebrated Grandpa Ren’s 83rd birthday this past weekend!
