What a year! ā¤ļø

As we close out 2026, we are filled with gratitude for every volunteer, donor, partner, elder, and friend who made this year possible.

One of our favorite moments from our Year End Celebration came from our elderly friend Kenneth, who is also a donor to LBFE. His message says so much about the community we are building togetherā€”and we couldn't think of a better message to share as we celebrate another incredible year.

This year, LBFE reached 219 older adultsā€”the most we have ever served in our Cincinnati chapterā€™s history!

But behind every number is a person, and behind every connection are people like YOU who continue to show up.

And next year is a big oneā€¦

Yesterday served as the perfect day for golf enthusiasts to take a swing at loneliness and isolation on behalf of our elderly friends - closing the gap on aging alone one swing at a time!

As a privately funded, community-driven organization, the participation and generosity of every sponsor, community partner, golfer, and volunteer directly impacts both, how- and how many elders - we are able to serve and support.

Thanks to the generosity of our community, the 29th Annual Tom Wess Memorial Golf Outing was a success, raising $29,027 to further our mission while welcoming new supporters into our work to make the issue of aging alone impossible to ignore.

To our sponsors, community partners, golfers, donors, and volunteers who made the day possible: Thank you for showing up for our elderly friends ā¤ļø

If you missed this yearā€™s event, thereā€™s is still an opportunity to help us close the gap on aging alone. Gifts in support of the Tom Wess Memorial Golf Outing can be made by visiting our website at littlebrotherscincinnati.org, calling our office, or by mailing a gift directly to Little Brothers - Friends of The Elderly.

This month's Art Club was a full house! The afternoon was filled with creativity, connection, and the kind of easy companionship that grows when volunteers and elderly friends come together with open hearts. Our time together was a beautiful reminder of what makes our LBFE community so special.

A huge thanks to our volunteers who joined us and made the day possible. Your presence transforms Art Club from a simple activity into a meaningful experience.
