Philmont kicked off the 2026 summer season in a big way as 1,100+ staff members gathered on May 29 for All Staff Day. Excitement and anticipation filled Base Camp as staff from across the Ranch came together to continue Philmont’s heritage of changing lives every summer.

Philmont hosts many open to the public museums, including the National Scouting Museum, Villa Philmonté, Ernest Thompson Seton Memorial Library, and the Kit Carson Museum at Rayado!

The historic Villa's summer schedule is open! Schedule a tour of our benefactors Waite and Genevive Phillips home in advance for your crew, family, or if you're simply passing through!

Inside the National Scouting Museum, artifacts and displays are always changing, come see what's new! One of the requirements to earn the Scouting Heritage merit badge is to visit the NSM, bring the whole crew on your trek and earn it together!

At Rayado learn and tour an original homestead founded in 1848 along the Sante Fe Trail, learn how to forge tools, throw tomahawks, and better understand the simple life a homesteading family.
