Cicero, New York. – Cicero Police Department arrest Cicero man, and seize large amount of ammunition, high capacity magazines and guns.
Chief Steve Rotunno reports that on February 15th, 2025 Cicero Police were dispatched to a motor vehicle off the road disabled in a snowbank on Finish Line Trail and subsequently arrested the operator for Driving While intoxicated, George M. Leroy of Cicero, N.Y. A search incident to arrest was made and Mr. Leroy was found to be in possession of loaded and illegally possessed G***k handgun along with high-capacity magazines.
On February 20th the Cicero Police Detectives executed a search warrant on Mr. Leroy’s vehicle and located an additional loaded assault rifle and 12 high-capacity magazines.
Later in the evening Cicero Police and the New York State Police Community Stabilization Unit executed a 2nd search warrant at Mr. Leroy’s residence located in Cicero where he rents a room. There Cicero Police and New York State Police located a large number of illegally possessed fi****ms, silencers, an additional 80 high capacity magazines, and other illegal weapons.
On February 24th Mr. Leroy turned himself into the Cicero Police Department and was charged additionally with following the search warrants:

• 80 Counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree -Large Cap Magazines
NYSPL 265.02 sub 8, a class D Felony
• 12 Counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree – Large Cap Magazines
NYSPL 265.02 sub 8, a class D Felony
• 2 Counts of Criminal Possession of a Firearm 3rd Degree-Silencers
NYSPL 265.02 sub 02, a class D Felony
• 8 Counts of Criminal Possession of a Firearm
NYSPL 265.01 sub b, a class E Felony
• 1 Count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon on the 3rd Degree - Assault Weapon
NYSPL 265.02 sub 7, a class D Felony
• 1 Count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon on the 3rd Degree - Assault Weapon
NYSPL 265.02 sub 7, a class D Felony
• 3 Counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th degree 0 Black jack – Switchblade
NYSPL 265.01 sub 1, a class A Misdemeanor
Leroy was processed at the Cicero Police Department and transported to Onondaga County Centralized Arraignment Court for arraignment.
