Flock cameras have been a talking point and a targeted one in different parts of the country. However, in Cicero there hasn't been enough discussion on it or at least not an active response compared to other areas reported so far. For the last few years, Flock has been donating to the Cicero Voters Alliance which supports Larry Dominick and the town board as well.

Flock has donated $6,000 so far to CVA. Larry Dominick and the board of trustees of Cicero benefited from this contribution.

Surprisingly, there has been no recorded donation to Berwyn not to DCOB (Democratic Committee Of Berwyn) or (B.S. - Berwyn Strong as it's known now)

A reminder that there is supposed to be a link that addresses the agreement of Flock in Cicero however, it's been removed. Larry Dominick and the board of trustees of Cicero are intentionally not sharing public information about Flock.

People of Cicero deserve transparency and the removal of Flock from our community. ICE has been using Flock data to find and coordinate arrests (unlaw kidnapping) of undocumented/legal residents. Including a issue with many police officers using to stalk and harass women. This should be a bigger issue for residents in Cicero as Cicero PD has a long history of sexual harassment and intimidation of it's female employees.

We wanted to take time to share and address some important notes regarding the following meeting happening on 8-11-2026.

- Cicero is asking to adjust the speed limit on both on 26th Street and on Ogden Ave. reasons that are seemingly unknown at this time due to lack of details.

- Cicero is also making 3 agreements with different plumbing services that work within Cicero.

- Cicero is making recommendations to the town engineer to award work contracts to the lowest bidder one of which includes work on flood prevention programs within Cicero.

This is a matter that should be taken more seriously because over a decade ago Larry promised to address flood prevention within Cicero, after backlash years ago Cicero finally committed to get the assistance to address the concerns of flood prevention. If flood prevention is possible in Cicero it must be looked at with the best care and work available that benefits the community not the pockets of Town officials. Folks have suffered the damages and recovery efforts of floods occurring within Cicero. It needs to reassure that the best options are on the table addressing this matter.

An interesting segment that is worth reviewing about surveillance.

We wanted to take time to share some information provided by Atlas Surveillance that provides information on equipment provided to different police departments. Currently we wanted to share a side by side comparison list of a report of body cameras.

It's worth noting that the reports are not up to date however, it's the most recent data that has been shared that we have public access to without having to FOIA.

There is a concern that is worth addressing, Cicero has more body cameras than Berwyn so why doesn't Cicero share or do more to have more information regarding their use. If they are being used it's worth noting how useful they are and if they are not it's any example of wasted spending onto police.

There have been weeks of speculation and concern regarding what will eventually replace the Hawthorne Race track on Laramie and 35th. The Town hall meeting in Cicero tomorrow (7/28), will vote to oppose the establishment of data centers in the town.

Hopefully this is one resolution that is approved.

It's also worth noting that the Metropolitan Water District seemed to approve a data center to be established according to the Town of Cicero. However, as of 6/18 through as a far back as 3/19 there has been no mention of a approval of a data center from MWRD.

The first highlighted resolution suggests that it will deny any potential approval of a data center should MWRD vote on it. An important note to be aware of.

There needs to be a serious review of Flock contracts within Cicero and Berywn

On September 30, 2025, a Flock vice president allegedly logged into the Dunwoody Police Department’s Flock system and looked at a camera in the kids’ gymnastics room of a private community center. It was that easy.

The community center had shared its cameras with the police department ‘solely for real-time critical incident response.’ Instead, Flock and local officials claim it was used in a ‘sales demo,’ saying it was authorized under the city’s ‘demo partner agreement.’ The problem? There’s no proof that the agreement even exists.

Now, residents are wondering what kind of sales demo would require looking at one camera in a children’s gymnastics room, and why a police department would have third-party camera integration in a gymnastics room for kids. And incidents like this aren’t a one-off.

Reporting shows Flock surveillance data being accessed in ways cities didn’t approve, including by the federal government and other states. Law enforcement officers have also misused the system to do things like stalk exes or partners. It’s a system ripe for abuse, enabling mass tracking with little oversight. That’s why cities are cancelling their contracts with Flock all across the country, and residents keep destroying the cameras.

One interesting note to point out both towns will be voting to approve this year's "Action plan for their respective CDBG (Community Development Block Grant) to comply with a grant offered by HUD (U.S. Department of Housing and Development)

The LAPD is ending its agreement with surveillance tech company Flock Safety, Eyewitness News has learned. Flock operates dozens of cameras in L.A. that use automated license plate readers, according to the department. The agreement is set to expire Saturday. https://abc7.la/GSnfNP
