This is without question one of the hardest announcements we have ever had to make, but this morning our little group lost our brother and friend to a tragic accident. Brian O’Connor, who loved being called Leprechaun, was a lightening rod of enthusiasm, love and integrity, bringing a sense of jovial humor and child-like excitability to everything we did with our charity and in our normal everyday lives. He never shied away from delivering bear hugs at the highest and lowest of moments, and his sincerity in celebration or in loss was always the utmost of being genuine. Even as this is being written it doesn’t seem real, so in honor of our brother and friend, we ask you to remember him by doing just one thing. If you have had a moment of thinking to yourself, no matter who it is, “I should call them”…do it. If you need a hug or feel as though someone else could use one…hug them. If you have the passing notion of making things right with someone but are hesitant…be the first to reach out. There is no greater reminder of the temporary nature of life than loss, so in honor of our brother and friend, do something beautiful today and reach out. We love you forever Brian, and thank you for the memories that will transcend time and life, and lead us to places where the distortion of every day reminds us of the moments that were perfect. 🙏🏻♥️
