Blue Crab Community Fridge is welcoming a new family member soon! We may be slow to respond to messages and less present on social media this summer as we enjoy time with family.

Donations are absolutely welcomed and needed! If you’d like to donate to the fridge financially consider visiting our website or Venmo . Alternatively we always welcome food donations and in need of volunteers to clean the fridge. Visit our website for more info on ways to volunteer/donate!

Though we will be a bit quieter on social media, the fridge will remain fully operational and open to the public.

Blue Crab Community Fridge celebrates its 2nd birthday this month! The continued success of this free food source would not be possible without this incredible community. THANK YOU! 🎂

What is new with the fridge?

Thanks to our generous financial donors, we are now able to fill the fridge regularly at twice a month! While we are excited for that capability, twice a month simply isn’t enough to meet the needs of the community.

What can you do to help?

🍎 We are in great need of food donations. The fridge is open 24/7 for food donations. Specifically, we are seeking PERISHABLE donations such as fresh produce, frozen veggies, eggs, milk, yogurt, etc

🛒 Starting in June, we are in need of volunteers to pick up groceries from Aldi in Annapolis to fill the fridge. Check out our website to select a date to volunteer!

🧼 With more food donations, more volunteers are needed to help clean the fridge. Especially in the warmer months to come, we are in great need of volunteers to keep the fridge/shed clean to avoid insects/pests from getting to the food. Please consider tidying the fridge/shed when visiting the fridge. We also greatly welcome volunteers to select a date to clean the fridge via our website.
