Church Hill Elementary School PTO The PTO at CHES works to promote the welfare of our children in the home, school and community. When PTO gets involved, children benefit.

The CHES PTO is made up of people, just like you that want to make a difference in the lives of our children. To build the strongest support network to help all of our children achieve their goals and dreams, we need you as a parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, business partner, community member, teacher, or friend, to become a part of our PTO Team. Together we can help all CHES students develop the

As we wrap up another wonderful school year, we’d love for you to join us for our final PTO meeting of the year!

Come hear about end-of-year updates, celebrate all we’ve accomplished together, and learn about opportunities to get involved for next year. We will also be discussing PTO officer positions and plans for the upcoming school year.

What an incredible week celebrating the amazing staff of CHES! 📚🍎💛

From “Green Eggs & Ham” breakfast to wildflower bouquets, sweet treats, delicious tacos, and special drinks to end the week, every single day was filled with love, appreciation, and so many thoughtful touches for our wonderful teachers and staff.

Thank you to everyone who donated food, treats, flowers, supplies, gift cards, drinks, decorations, and time to help make Teacher Appreciation Week so special. Whether you volunteered behind the scenes, helped set up, baked cookies, donated items, or simply helped spread kindness throughout the week — we are so grateful for you.

Our CHES staff gives their hearts to our children every single day, and it was such a joy to spend the week celebrating all they do for our school community. We truly could not have pulled off such a fabulous week without the support, generosity, and love from our CHES families and PTO community.

Thank you for helping remind our teachers and staff just how appreciated they are. 💚💛

🦁 Finish the Year Strong! PTO Meeting Tomorrow! 🦁

Believe it or not, we’re heading into the home stretch! 🏁 Let’s get together to wrap up an amazing year and start dreaming big for the next one. Whether you have five minutes or an hour to give, your input makes all the difference for our Lion Cubs!

🍎 Staff Appreciation Week is Coming! 📚

We are so excited to shower our incredible teachers and staff with appreciation soon! Just a quick reminder that we will be celebrating later in the month, from May 18th – May 22nd, to allow everyone to focus on finishing up MCAP testing first.

We have an amazing week of book-themed treats and surprises planned. We can't wait to celebrate the people who are such a vital part of our story.

Big Cheers for Our Very Own Mrs. Walbert! 🥳

We’ve always known she was a star, but now it’s official at the state level! We are incredibly proud to share that our principal, Mrs. Susan Walbert, was honored with a Governor’s Citation during National Principal Appreciation Day. 🏆

She received this prestigious recognition at the Maryland School Leadership Honors, hosted by Lieutenant Governor Aruna Miller and the Wallace Foundation. This award highlights her dedication, heart, and the incredible leadership she brings to Church Hill Elementary every single day.

They say it takes a village to raise a child, but every village needs a heart. Mrs. Walbert, you are undeniably ours. Thank you for being more than just a principal. You are a mentor, a protector, and the ultimate champion for every single Cub that walks through these halls.

As parents, there is no greater peace of mind than knowing our children are walking into a building where they are truly safe and fiercely protected. At Church Hill Elementary, you have built more than just a school; you have nurtured a genuine family atmosphere where every single child feels like they belong.

Thank you for being a tireless advocate for every kid who walks through those doors. You see their individual needs, fight for their success, and treat their growth as if it were your own. We are so grateful for the heart and dedication you pour into our "den" every day.

Mrs. Walbert, you are more than an administrator to us; you are a hero in the story of our children’s lives. Thank you for loving our kids, for guiding our teachers, and for making Church Hill Elementary the brightest light in our community.

🎡 The Carnival is STILL ON! 🎪

Rain can’t stop our fun—it’s just moving indoors! We are officially shifting the festivities to the gym for now. Come out and support the Lion Cubs for games, food, and community.

The weather might be gray, but the energy in here is bright! Shout out to the volunteers making the magic happen behind the scenes. We can’t wait to see everyone soon! 🍿🎟️
