Meet Sir Jackson Bradley (Jack), a 5 year old, neutered, champion cockapoo (cocker spaniel/poodle mix) from San Diego. This good boy has been thru a lot of tough changes the last few years and with added inconsistencies lately.
He's potty and kennel trained, not a chewer, loves walks and tug of war, play and chasing ball. He's curious, loves to be chatted up, a barker to protect and has recently learned to whisper :) He's super loving 🥰 accustomed to couch, chair and bed cuddles, tolerates grooms but doesn’t love nail clipping. He's great in the car and doesn't mind shopping in stores that allow dogs. He doesn't like being closed in a room alone and experiences some separation anxiety.
I'm 💔 to do this but after he nipped at my 5 yr old grandson, we took more measures to work on home transitions and hired a reputable trainer, but he just doesn’t love being around my overly energetic grandkids and tries to “correct” their behavior. 😢
He needs a home with no kids, and an owner who knows dog behavior to rein back the good manners he knows and can keep him active = routine matters with this guy. He gets this regularity in one house and is beautiful, but since he bounces back and forth between my home and my ex’s he can test his will in the other house and he does. He's unpredictable with other dogs, some he's totally fine with and others not so much.
