Friendly Reminder: SILENT SATURDAY IS TODAY! ⚽

Today, we let the game belong to the players.

Silent Saturday isn’t about taking away the fun or the encouragement. It’s about giving our players the space to think, communicate, make decisions, solve problems, and lead one another without constant direction from the sidelines.

🙌 Cheer them on with smiles, thumbs up, and applause!
🤫 Skip the shouting, sideline coaching, and calling out instructions.
⚽ Let them play, learn, grow, and find their own voice.

Sometimes the best thing we can do for our players is simply give them the space to figure it out themselves.

Let’s make today about confidence, teamwork, and the joy of the game!

See you on the sidelines…silently! 😉

To every coach who said “yes” — thank you.

Thank you for signing up. For showing up. For giving your time, your weekends, your evenings.

Thank you for teaching soccer, but more importantly, for teaching teamwork, confidence, resilience, sportsmanship, and how to keep going when things don’t go your way.

Thank you for the practices, the games, the cheers, the tough moments, and all the little moments in between.

You may think you’re just coaching a soccer team… but to these kids, you’re creating memories they’ll carry with them for years.

Quite literally, we couldn’t do this without you. ❤️⚽️

Happy National Coaches Day! 🫶

Region 116 is better because of YOU.

☀️ WEEKEND GAME UPDATE ☀️

Higher-than-normal temperatures are expected this weekend, so we’ve made some schedule adjustments to help provide safer playing conditions for our players.

A few reminders for game day:

💧 Keep players well hydrated — and start hydrating early!
🥤 Consider bringing electrolyte-rich drinks in addition to water
☀️ Consider using SPF/sunscreen
⛱️ Bring shade structures whenever possible
🧊 Cool towels, ice and misters can also help keep players comfortable
💦 Coaches & referees will be monitoring conditions and following AYSO safety guidelines, including increased hydration breaks.

Please watch for signs of heat stress and let a coach or referee know immediately if your player isn’t feeling well.

Some games have been moved to Sunday morning, so please check TeamSnap for the most up-to-date schedule.

We know schedule changes aren’t always easy, and we truly appreciate your flexibility and understanding as we work together to give our players the opportunity to play in the safest conditions possible.
