Investing in the next generation of community leaders! ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’›

The Rotary Club of Chula Vista Eastlake is proud to sponsor the new Interact Club at Eastlake High School!

At our Tuesday meeting, we celebrated this exciting partnership with a $1,000 check presentation to help launch the student-led service club. Accepting the donation was Eastlake High teacher and Interact advisor Gigi Romo, pictured with Rotary Club President Miriam Gonzalez and fellow Rotarian Craig Smith.

For Craig, the moment was especially meaningful. His own Rotary journey began as an Interact member in high school! A wonderful example of how inspiring young people to serve can lead to a lifetime of giving back.

Interact helps students develop leadership, build friendships, and discover the joy of making a difference.

We couldn't be more excited to support these Eastlake High students as they embark on their respective journeys to Service Above Self! Rotary District 5340 Members Rotary International

Backpacks packed. Smiles delivered. School year ready. ๐ŸŽ’๐Ÿ“š

This past weekend, members of the Rotary Club of Chula Vista Eastlake delivered backpacks filled with back-to-school supplies to approximately 35 children at Casa Hogar Infantil Uriel in Tijuana.

The project supports Rotaryโ€™s Area of Focus of Basic Education and Literacy, helping ensure students have the supplies they need to start the school year prepared and ready to learn.

The best part of the day was spending time with the kidsโ€”playing games, handing out treats and backpacks, and sharing plenty of smiles.

โ€œWe had a great time with the kids! Carlos and Vรญctor were amazing playing games with the children. Thank you to Julio, Tonie, Alegrรญa and Laura for helping pass out the treats and backpacks and taking picturesโ€”and to all our members who contributed through donations and support. Great teamwork!โ€๏ฟฝโ€” Club President Miriam Gonzalez

A special thank you to Rotary District 5340 for helping extend the impact of our clubโ€™s contribution through a matching grant.

๐Ÿ’™ Doing Good in Our Community

Members of the Rotary Club of Chula Vista-Eastlake were proud to lend a hand at a family-friendly festival last weekend at Lo-Har Senior Living, supporting seniors in need of assisted living and memory care.

Thereโ€™s something special about bringing generations together and showing a little extra love to those in their golden years. We were happy to play a small part in a day filled with community, connection, and smiles.

Want to join us in doing good in our community โ€” and doing good in the world? ๐ŸŒŽ

Our Rotary Club meets Tuesday evenings, and weโ€™re always happy to welcome people interested in learning more about Rotary and getting involved.

๐Ÿ“ฉ Contact us via DM for information about an upcoming meeting. Join us and see Rotary in action!
