📚 Something special is coming!

Our Healing Connections Through Reading project is taking shape as we prepare to install Little Libraries filled in local facilities serving teens, women, and children who are rebuilding.

These “healing corners” will provide spaces for learning, comfort, hope, and new beginnings.

This project is made possible through the generous support of the San Diego County Employees Charitable Organization (SDCECO) grant and the Altrusa International, Chula Vista Foundation. We are grateful for their partnership in helping bring literacy and healing to our community.

Stay tuned as we share updates when the libraries are installed! 💙📖

Our Service Committee came together to fill backpacks with school supplies, and this week we proudly delivered them to Voices for Children, whose volunteer advocates support children in foster care.

Voices for Children shared that the need for these donations continues to grow while contributions have declined, making community support more important than ever. We’re grateful to play a small part in helping local students start the school year prepared and ready to learn. 🎒📚💙

Yesterday, Amy Bosler and Lina Cestero joined electrician Alex Toriz to begin transforming the Phil Collum Reading Corner at Los Angelitos Orphanage! 💙📚

They installed electricity, delivered new books, and even celebrated three birthdays with the children. 🎂✨ Phase two coming soon with more books and new seating!
