What a wonderful day aboard the Viking Mississippi! 🚢

Did you know the Viking Mississippi was specifically designed to sail the Mississippi River and accommodates just 386 guests? It brings Viking’s signature Scandinavian elegance right here to our backyard!

One of the things we love most about our ASTA Greater New Orleans Chapter events is the opportunity for continued education. There’s nothing quite like experiencing a ship firsthand to better serve our clients!

But these events are about more than education. They’re also an opportunity to connect with fellow travel advisors, exchange ideas, share experiences, and learn from one another!

1350 Port of New Orleans Place. Plan to be there no later than 11:15 am on 10/18.

For those registered for the Viking ship tour this Sunday, we’re still waiting on Viking to confirm the time and location. We’ll share those details as soon as we receive them. Thanks for your patience!

Sunday, October 18 | Viking Mississippi Ship Inspection
Join us for an opportunity to tour the Viking Mississippi and enjoy lunch onboard. This event is open to ASTA members only, and advance registration is required.

Monday, October 19 | Switzerland Tourism Luncheon
Join representatives from Switzerland Tourism for lunch at Boulevard American Bistro in Metairie. This event is open to all travel advisors, whether you're an ASTA member or not.

Both events are great opportunities to learn more about these destinations and travel experiences!

Tomorrow’s the day!

We’re excited to welcome more than 80 travel advisors to the ASTA Greater New Orleans 2026 Travel Pro Expo at Treasure Chest Casino!

We have a full day planned with professional development, supplier presentations, networking, our trade show, professional headshots, prizes and giveaways, and plenty of opportunities to connect with others in the travel industry.

For everyone attending tomorrow, a few important reminders:

The casino doors open at 8:00 AM, and we encourage you to arrive promptly at 8:00. Registration and buffet breakfast begin as soon as the doors open, with our welcome remarks and panel discussion starting at 8:30 AM. Please allow yourself enough time to park, enter the casino and follow the signs to our event space.

Please bring your physical government-issued ID. Treasure Chest requires a physical ID for entry, and Mobile Wallet IDs will not be accepted.

Don’t forget your business cards for networking with our supplier partners and for your chances to win some of the prizes and giveaways throughout the day.

Professional headshots will also be available throughout the day with a $25 donation to ASTAPAC. We’ll have a QR code available to make your donation, and once you show your donation confirmation, you’ll be able to sign up for a headshot time. So come camera-ready!

And for our advisors attending tomorrow, we’ve created an “I’m Attending” graphic for you to share! Let your clients and fellow advisors know you’re spending the day continuing your education, building industry relationships and connecting with the suppliers and destinations you recommend. Be sure to tag ASTA Greater New Orleans so we can see and share your posts too!
