Please send an email to Assembly members Volland and Cross for supporting bike paths in Chugiak-Eagle River.

Thank you to everyone who sent emails in support of the Glenn Hwy Path. Connecting Eklutna to Mirror Lake Park was not included in the recommendations.

Please send a letter of thank you to Assemblymembers Kevin Cross and Daniel Volland for their work in adding:

[email protected]

1. The Glenn Hwy Path Connection at Artillery Rd.
2. Extending the Eagle River Rd Pathway to O'Riedner Rd.

The final plan will go before the Anchorage Assembly for approval. Please ask that the Assembly AMEND the final plan to include:

3. Glenn Hwy Path connecting Thunderbird Dr (Eklutna) to Paradis Ln (Mirror Lake Park).

Of the 100 nonmotorized projects budgeted for the 2050 MTP (Metropolitan Transporation Plan), 99 are in the Anchorage Bowl. It is a reasonable request to amend the plan to include a second Chugiak-Eagle River paved pathway.

(The nonmotorized budget is a separate line item for projects not associated with road improvements.)

AMATS has cut all future bike path improvements for Chugiak-Eagle River from their 2050 MTP (transportation plan). Let them know how you feel about this. Comments are due Oct 9th.

SAVE THE GLENN HWY PATHWAY (again!)

Send comments by Oct 9th to [email protected]

All Chugiak-Eagle River bike paths have been cut from the AMATS 2050 MTP (transportation plan). This is ridiculous.

Please email asking that the Glenn Hwy and Eagle River Rd pathways be added to the plan.

Specifically:
1. Connect Glenn Hwy pathway from Eklutna to Mirror Lake.
2. Connect the Glenn Hwy pathway at the Artillery Rd exit.
3. Extend the Eagle River Rd pathway from Eagle River Loop Rd to O'Riedner Rd.

Remember to say why this is important to you!
