Claire is one of the many people we help in the Dominican Republic. Here is her story.

Today’s girl is someone very near and dear to our hearts. Her name is Claire, and her life is one of the most beautiful examples of how to love and care for others well. Claire moved with her family to the Dominican Republic as a child so that they could work with Haitian refugees. They devoted their lives to serving the community of Villa Hermosa where they provided the community with food, water and education. Claire’s family founded a school and at only 18 years old she became the director!

Now studying to become an Architect, Claire is still dedicated to carrying out her parents dream to transform Villa Hermosa. She acts as our Health & Hygiene trainer there and works to educate the women and children of the community, empowering them with health and hope. We are so inspired by how this girl has dedicated her whole life to caring for others and making a difference in her community. She is truly what The Her Initiative is all about!

We want to thank everyone who has contributed to our efforts to feed the homeless tomorrow, Dec. 24th. It is our pleasure and privilege to unite with other individuals and organizations to love our neighbors as we would want to be loved. If you are in need of a 6 chair dinning set in good condition, B*W has received one and is willing to give it to someone that needs for free. Just contact us!!! If we don't receive a reply by Sunday night, Aug. 11th, we will donate it to Goodwill. Also, if someone is in need of a small desk, we'll be glad to deliver it to you. Blessings!!!
