Veteran's Day weekend 2024. Yesterday the Stuart's Horse Artillery Camp #1784 Sons of Confederate Vetrans along with the Hamilton-Wade Chapter #949 United Daughter's of the Confederacy and Virginia Order of the Confederate Rose honored 5 Confederate Veterans dedicating Iron Crosses in Floyd County and Pulaski County Virginia. Today the Floyd Veteran's Day parade was held. A special thanks to the 24th Virginia New River Rifles, Company I 45th Virginia infantry Reed Island Rifles and Company D 51st Virginia Infantry for filling our ranks today. Many are members of our Camp. We also had several other SCV Camps represented today the Saltville Home Guard Camp #2098, Wharton-Stuart Camp #1832, Stuart- Hairston Camp 515, Beirne Chapman Camp #148 and Walker-Terry Camp #1758. Thank you men for the great turn out.
