The Rainey 13 Foundation is proud to endorse Mike Barber for Mayor of Christiansburg.

Rainey 13 Foundation is a non profit organization that exists to uplift and support foster, adopted, and underprivileged children by providing resources that meet their essential needs, create equal opportunities for success, and show them they are valued and loved. We aim to bring lasting encouragement to the unseen and underserved in our community through initiatives such as providing shoes, clothing support, and essential items.

In addition, Rainey 13 Foundation chooses local high school student each year to receive a scholarship based on community involvement, academics, athletics, and being a team player. This recipient is named an ambassador for the foundation, serving as a role model and representative of our values of faith, humility, and authenticity.

We believe we make plans as an organization, but God directs our steps. We commit to praying about the plans we are making and for the families we serve, while humbly putting ourselves in their shoes to respond with empathy, dignity, and care.

In everything we do, we are genuine and authentic. We are a “real” organization that values transparency and honesty, ensuring every act of service truly impacts the lives of those we are called to support.

Rainey 13 Foundation along with you all made it possible to help 76 people for the Holidays. Whether it be food, hotel rooms, a hot meal, Food boxes, gift cards, or Christmas gifts, blankets, a pair of socks, coat and etc. THANK YOU TO ALL THOSE WHO HELP MAKE THIS POSSIBLE.

Parents at CMS..

We sent a fundraiser out last week (SCENTSY) several parents have told us their child did not receive a packet. Please let me know if your student did not bring one home. This is a MAJOR fundraiser for us to be able to do the year end things such as field day, dances, staff appreciation and some things the school needs. We need everyone to participate in this. Please please message me if your child did not bring one home and send me their advisory teacher name. I’ll hand deliver one tomorrow. We have a little over a week left and we need you all. We ask every student sell at least 6-6 packs of Scentsy circles. That would put us in a good spot for the remainder of the school year. I can also email you the packet.

Hello all!!

Just a quick reminder that a lot of department stores are putting shoes and things on clearance. A lot of you have asked how to help the foundation. If you feel in your heart to grab some of these shoes, socks, un**es, diapers and hygiene products our foundation could use it. Last year we were able to help 32 families, 19 single mothers and donate caring bags to the homeless. We were also able to provide Vhristmas and dinner to a local family of 5.
We have also been working with the Caring Closet at CMS to make sure students have the things they need as well as their families. The Caring Closet has items such as clothing for middle school boys and girls, gently used shoes, coats and backpacks. They are in need of belts, socks, un**es for both boys and girls (these have to be new) shoes, leggings and sweat pants for both, gym clothing, and gently used clothing that is middle school appropriate. Washed would be good but we can do that if need be. We have a generous stock of laundry detergent, body wash, shampoo and conditioner, deodorant, toothbrushes and toothpaste, brushes and combs, hair dryers and basic school supplies. This is open to any student or family in need. You can reach out to me for help or for more Information.

Rainey 13 Foundation has decided to take CMS Caring Closet u see it’s wing and help provide for all the tweens in school. For those of you who aren’t aware, Christiansburg Middle School has a Caring Closet. Kiddos can go and get coats, pants, shirts, socks, un**es and all hygiene products. I’d love for you all to help me in stocking their closet and making it a full as possible. This has gotten to be my passion. I’ve created a link below, feel free to browse, look around and purchase anything that’s laid on your heart. I absolutely have enjoyed every second of working at the school and being PTA President. It definitely has given my kids and I a new outlook on like. Merry Christmas you all!

It’s hard not to love Christmas time. It’s such a special time of year filled with special family Christmas traditions.

I used to think being a kid on Christmas was the best thing ever. Turns out, being a parent on Christmas is! My favorite family Christmas activities always involve spending time with my family, friends, and other loved ones! The holiday season has become even more special to me since becoming a mom of 11 children. One biological, one step daughter and 9 adopted children. It’s so incredible to experience the magic of Christmas through my own children’s eyes!

If you’re looking for a way to help this Christmas feel even more special, The Rainey 13 Foundation is seeking its 2022 Christmas family. This can be any family that needs a little extra help providing for their family. This will be our fourth year “adopting The Rainey Christmas family”, (that’s what we call the them)Every year we seem to be able to do more for our selected family and this year will be no different. We absolutely love growing our family in size and Christ.

Several of you have asked how you can participate in helping. Well, there are several ways. You can make a donation to the foundation, volunteer your time, purchase a gift for the family gift box or just come and help wraps gifts and celebrate. One thing we have learned is what our families want more then anything is to “be a family”, baking cookies and decorating them, making ornaments for the Christmas tree, baking or making candy for others and simple things such as having a cup of hot cocoa and singing Christmas Tunes and watching the children run around and play WITH THAT BEING SAID, WE ARE TAKING NOMINATIONS FOR OUR 2022 CHRISTMAS FAMILY. IF YOU WOULD K**E TO NOMINATE A FAMILY, PLEASE SEND US A PRIVATE MESSAGE AND TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT THEM. There is no size limit on the family.

Remember, Christmas is not as much about opening presents, it’s just as much about opening our hearts.

It’s that time for holiday gift giving!

Help Rainey 13 Foundation provide hope to our chosen “family in need” this holiday season. This is our third year helping a local family provide Christmas for their family.

Nominate-Tell us about the family you would like to nominate for Christmas assistance. Anyone in the community can nominate an individual or family to receive a special Christmas blessing, but SHHH!!…it’s a secret! We want to be able to surprise them. We ask that you do not nominate your own family.

Driven by our mission. Guided by our values. At Rainey 13 Foundation , our mission is to provide HOPE by matching local needs with compassionate givers as we aspire to bring lasting HOPE and encouragement to the unseen and underserved in our community. We are incredibly proud of the work we do in our community, but also the strong foundation of core values that we’ve built.

We believe that we make plans as an organization, but God directs our steps. We commit to pray about the plans we are making and wait for confirmation on how to proceed next, as we incorporate this value into our daily lives and commit to pray for each other, as well as the families we serve, on a regular basis.

Rainey 13 Foundation leaders and volunteers are committed to serving out of a humble nature with a deep understanding that no one person is any better or any less than another. We put ourselves in the situation of the people we serve and respond in the way we would want to be treated if we were going through similar situations.

In everything we do, we are genuine and authentic. We are a “real” organization and don’t get caught up in the hype of our culture, but provide a transparent, genuine, and honest place to serve and give.

Hi everyone. With Covid a lot of our functions have been cancelled. We are sorry. Hopefully we can get back on the right track soon. We have a charity concert coming up next year. Until then we
Will be doing some little fundraisers. Spread the word and have your friends add us and pass the word around. Christmas is coming up and usually by November 1st, we have selected our family for Christmas.

RAINEY 13 FOUNDATION has several cases of pull ups and some select sizes in diapers. These are FREE. If you need some help let us know. We are happy to meet if your local. We have approx 100 size 4-5 pull-ups they say 38 pounds and over. We also have size 6, 5,4, some 3 and a few size 2.
