River Hills Foxhounds — Hunt Report
A remarkable day of sport at Whizards Lair, home of Joint Master Hoppy Stearns, where 20 couple of Penn-Marydel hounds enjoyed an outstanding day in beautiful River Hills territory.
Over the past several weeks, Greg Paxson and Job Woodill have brought together two packs of Penn-Marydels, and the results have been extraordinary. The day provided hours of exciting sport, numerous views, and some truly astonishing hound work. Particularly gratifying was the cohesion, determination, and enthusiasm of the combined pack.
There is something especially fitting about bringing these hounds back to their Pennsylvania roots. Over the years, Job has worked to preserve and enhance several Penn-Marydel bloodlines, reflecting a longstanding dedication to the breed and its hunting traditions. Their arrival at River Hills marks an exciting new chapter in that effort, and Penn-Marydels in need of a new hunting home will always be welcome here.
Our sincere thanks to Hoppy Stearns for hosting us at Whizards Lair, to our generous landowners, and to everyone who contributed to such a memorable day.
An exciting new chapter for River Hills Foxhounds, built on a shared love of hounds, good sport, and the enduring traditions of the Penn-Marydel.
