Progress is always happening around the Wm. P. Brinton House. As we know many of you have not gotten the chance to see the work progression, we are excited to share it now.

None of this would be possible without your generous donations and attendance at our events. Interested in supporting the restoration of the home? Visit our website today!

Heritage Days 2026 Christiana, PA

Heritage Days is a long awaited historical event in Christiana ever...

Today in Underground Railroad History…
On this day in 1850, Congress passes the Fugitive Slave Act as part of the Compromise of 1850. The new law requires that slaves who escaped to free states be returned to their owners—and carries a six-month jail sentence and a fine of $1,000 for anyone offering freedom seekers food or shelter. $1,000 in 1850 was roughly equivalent to $35,000 in 2024 dollars.
