Choteau American Legion Rodeo Anything and Everything that is going on with the American Legion Rodeo and updates on the Legion Club activities as well. The American Legion C. Prices:

James Smith, Post 6 hosts an annual 4th of July Rodeo. Sanctioned by the Northern Rodeo Association, it is the largest 1 day rodeo in the Northern Rodeo Association. Events includeBareback Bronc Riding
Bull Riding, Cowgirl's Barrel Racing, Cowgirl's Breakaway Roping, Junior Barrel Racing, Junior Bull RIding, Saddle Bronc Riding, Steer Wrestling, Team Roping, Tie Down Roping, and a special event at the conclusion of the rodeo. We have had stock from Jacobs Livestock for many years and will be with us for another 4 years! The Rodeo's main performance begins at 2pm with the gates opening around noon. Prior to the main performance we do slack performances starting at 9am, and 30 minutes after the conclusion of the main performance. Concessions and b**r garden on site operated by the Legion Auxiliary and the local wrestling club.

Another Choteau American Legion Independence Day Celebration in the books.
Thanks to everyone that came to the rodeo and supported all the events around town.
Special Thanks to Rory N Sonny Fellers, 2W Spreading Larry and Robert Wurz, Alan Gagne, Lane Yeager and the whole crew that helped us get the arena dried out so contestants and animals could compete safely.
It was also an honor to honor and remember the Legacy of Aiden Copenhaver. If anyone has video of that small ceremony and horse with his saddle, please reach out to me. I would like to post it on our rodeo page.

Last day to buy tickets in person at the American Legion Club in Choteau will be tomorrow, July 1st. You can purchase them online at:

We will open the ticket office at the Rodeo Grounds on July 3rd at 2pm before the slack performance and again at 11am after the parade on the 4th of July. Gates open at noon for the main performance beginning at 2pm.
