We’ve shared a lot of thank-yous, but we still have a few people we need to recognize, especially the ones who stepped in and handled our sound. 👏🏼

Right before Battle of the Boots, we found ourselves without a sound system for our emcees. Not ideal. Thankfully, a few great people stepped up and made sure the show went on.

Big thank you to Ms. Trousett with Choctaw High School Student Council for letting us borrow the speaker system. That helped more than you know.

Thank you to Mr. Crowder with Yellowjacket TV for getting everything set up, running smoothly, and breaking it all down afterward. That behind-the-scenes work doesn’t go unnoticed.

And shoutout to MiKyla Myers for keeping the walk-up songs rolling and the music going all night. Let’s be honest, a kickball game without walk-up songs just isn’t the same.

Because of all three of them, the energy stayed high and the event ran exactly how it should have. We appreciate every bit of it.

The City of Choctaw FOP Lodge #165 would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who came out to support our very first Battle of the Boots Charity Kickball Tournament!

The competition was fierce and full of excitement throughout the night. In Round 1, EMS secured a decisive victory over FIRE. In Round 2, POLICE defeated FIRE by double digits. The championship game brought it all together, with EMS claiming the title after an 8–2 win over POLICE.

Congratulations to your 2026 Champions, EMS! 🏆

Below is a message from our FOP President:

“I would like to personally thank everyone who came out to support this event. Tonight would not have been possible without the many hours of hard work behind the scenes planning and organizing, nor without the vendors who took a chance on us.

A special thank you to all of our generous donors: Apex Jiu Jitsu, Carter Pharmacy, Paneks Grocery, The Barn, TFCU, Angel Fund OKC, Integrated Land Solutions, Carla Singer Productions, and last but certainly not least, Choctaw Liquor Depot. We are also grateful to Bouse Sports Complex for hosting us and giving us this opportunity. Your support made this event possible.

Thank you to Mr. Crowder and Ms. Trousett for providing and setting up the sound system, and to T’s-Shirts for designing our outstanding team gear.

To all of the players who signed up and dedicated their time to raising money for a great cause, thank you. You could have stayed home, but you chose to show up and make a difference. I’m truly grateful that everyone had a great time and stayed safe (minus a few turf burns, sorry about that).

Your support means more than you know.

Finally, I would like to personally thank Sheriff Tommie Johnson III and Mayor Chad Allcox for serving as our announcers. Your continued support of our community does not go unnoticed, and it is sincerely appreciated.

With your continued support, we hope to make this an annual event and keep raising money for important charities and causes.”

Sincerely, J. Spurgeon, City of Choctaw FOP Lodge #165 President.

We encourage everyone to check out these local businesses, show them some support, and thank them for standing behind both our officers and the athletes of Special Olympics.
