A big thank you to our friends in Choctaw and Jones for these end of school year donations.

As classrooms wrapped up the year, pantry items that were not used found a new purpose, helping stock shelves for families in our community.

Every donation makes a difference. Thank you for helping us care for Eastern Oklahoma County.

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country, making the freedoms we enjoy possible.
We also remember the families who carried that sacrifice with them, the parents, spouses, and children whose loss and strength are often unseen.
At EOCRC, we are grateful for those who gave everything, and for the families who continue to carry their legacy.
Today, we remember. We honor. We give thanks.

Please join us in congratulating Darla Cheek of Mid-Del Youth & Family Center, Inc. on being named this year’s Servant Leader.

Darla serves as Director of the Mid-Del Youth & Family Shelter and as the Domestic Violence Advocate for the Midwest City, Del City, Jones, and Choctaw police departments. She is on call 24/7, stepping into some of the hardest moments imaginable to bring safety, comfort, and hope to survivors of domestic violence.

When crisis hits, Darla shows up. She works tirelessly to help mothers and children find safety, secure housing, access care, and begin the long road toward healing. She sits with children in hospital rooms, courtrooms, and during interviews no child should ever have to endure alone. She meets people in their darkest moments with compassion, strength, and unwavering care.

The work is heavy. The need is constant. Yet Darla continues to serve with a heart for others that is nothing short of extraordinary.

Servant leadership is not about recognition. It is about showing up, serving others, and making a difference when it matters most. Darla embodies that every single day.

Congratulations, Darla, and thank you for being a true servant leader.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive a success.

Because of the generosity of our Choctaw and Jones communities, food was collected to help stock shelves and support local families facing food insecurity.

Thank you to the letter carriers, volunteers, donors, and every person who set out a bag to make a difference. Your kindness helps bring hope, one meal at a time.
