Hey Chloridians!! Let’s celebrate our Townsite!!! Yes, the Chamber is hosting this event but this is for the TOWNSITE!! That means everyone is welcome and everyone is welcome to participate and make this a great day!!! If you would like to help in any way on the day of the event please let us know. If you are a shop owner or business and would like to donate either food, money, and/or raffle prizes - please contact one of ours. Thank you!!!

Had a conversation with ERACE today.

1. Up to 2 weeks ago there was only one officer for all of Mohave County. They have now hired 2 more - but it’s still only 3 officers for the whole county. They do respond to all calls but it might take a little while.
2. They will follow up on all leads but again it might take a little while.
3. The officers work with 2 volunteer groups (86413 Litter Free and Cactus Cleaners). These groups are trained to pick up trash and collect items after ERACE has already been on scene.
4. While they appreciate the help - ERACE is asking that we not be so quick to pick up large piles of dumped items. We need to make sure they have done their inspection and have released the site for clean up.

I will be in further contact with the ERACE officer to see what else we can do to help them to keep Chloride clean. Thanks so much to all that love Chloride and want to keep it clean. - Cassi

The Kingman Area Chamber of Commerce is sharing important information we received from MSTEPP regarding an emerging drug threat identified by the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy.

A synthetic opioid called cyclorphine has been linked to multiple overdose deaths nationwide and may be spreading across the country. It is reported to be significantly more potent than fentanyl and may require multiple doses of Naloxone in overdose situations.

We encourage our community to stay informed and aware of this evolving risk.

The Kingman Area Chamber also wants to remind members and the public that NARCAN (Naloxone) treatment kits are available for pick up at our offices or by contacting MSTEPP directly. Having access to these kits can help save lives in the event of an opioid overdose.
