Chisholm KIDS PLUS has an opening for a college intern. Applicant must be enrolled in college. Duties include: planning and implementing intergenerational programs. Leading youth in the school learning garden, planning and implementing large community events.
Applicants must be 18 or older and have their own transportation.

Every year KIDS PLUS does a SADD activity for . The students sign a hand/pledge to be drug free and receive a red ribbon and some goodies for doing that.

This year, our Voice in Prevention Youth Engagement Committee came up with a new idea for Red Ribbon Week. They invited the classrooms in the elementary to decorate their doors for a contest. Red Ribbon Week started in the mid-1980's as a symbol of intolerance towards the use of drugs. It is the nation's oldest and largest drug prevention awareness program. Communities and schools across the nation come together to show their commitment to a drug free life.

Congratulations to Mrs. Nehring's 6th graders for winning the contest!

Every student is a winner this week - they all learned so much about RED RIBBON WEEK by doing this activity!

Our VIP youth engagement committee challenged the Chisholm Elementary Students to support Red Ribbon Week with a door decorating contest. Congrats to Ms. Nehring’s classroom for 1st place and great job to all who participated!
