Fishing with Vets would like to take a moment to make a bitter sweet announcement. After 11 years we have made the tough decision to call last year our last Mudfest. We’ve had many great years on the Iron Range and more specifically in Chisholm. We can’t thank the community for the amazing support we have received over all these years. Your support, kindness and generosity has helped us serve literally thousands of Veterans through our mission, and we can’t thank all of you enough for all the great years. We will still be hosting raffle drawings at Tom & Jerry's on September 6th and we will put together a nice evening for everyone to stop down, see some staff, and maybe jump in on a few raffles and watch us draw our big winners for the year. There is a laundry list of people we thank year in and year out, and we can’t get to you all in the post but some of our biggest supporters, Tom & Jerry’s, the Chisholm Public Works, Fire Department, EMS Team, and Chisholm PD, and the City Council and Mayor Lantz and Mayor Champa for all the years helping us make this event what it became. All the local businesses, vendors, contributors, and especially the entire community of Chisholm for allowing us to take over the City for a fun filled night. We thank you and salute you for the support. We’ve had a great run for many years, but all good things come to an end. We encourage you to attend the 1st annual Chisholm Sportsman’s Club ride happening this weekend, August 16th, if you’d like similar experience to what you’ve had at Mudfest over the years. The Sportsman’s club has graciously welcomed us for our lunch stop for many years, so please go out and support them in their efforts this weekend. Thank you all again for all the support over the years, and this isn’t goodbye, it’s see you later.
