Joseph Simon was our Student of the Month for May from Blackhawk High School. Joe is a member of the National Honor Society, Student Ambassadors, and Prom Committee. Joe is a member of the soccer, football, and tennis teams. His community service includes Pitter Patter Place Childcare, Beaver Elderly Care and Rehabilitation Center, HXP, Manna House, and being a Church Youth Group leader. Joe also enjoys collecting Legos and working on them with his family. In the Fall, Joe will be attending BYU Idaho to major in Civil Engineering

Anna Witterman was celebrated at our May meeting as a BCCS Student of the Month. While earning Highest Honors in academics all four years, Anna has been a part of the varsity basketball and volleyball teams all four years including captain of both teams her Senior year. She has played the flute in the BCCS Band, participated in Academic Games, and been a member of the Student Council for which she was President this past year. At her church Anna has been a nursery helper, member of the worship team, Vacation Bible School helper, Youth Group worship team member, and 3 on 3 Coach. Anna will be attending Gannon University for their Physician Assistant Program.

Adelyn Mariacher was our BCCS Student of the Month for April. Adelyn has been on the Highest Honor Roll all 4 years of high school and has been a member of the Spiritual Retreat Planning Committee, Youth Ambassador Program, and Prom Planning Committee. She has previously played Volleyball and participated in Track & Field. She is very artistic and has completed multiple murals in the area including at her school and a window mural in downtown Beaver Falls. Adelyn matches all these interests with volunteering at her church food pantry and working. She will be attending Grove City to receive her B.S. in Molecular Biology before continuing to get her Doctor of Medicine and doing missionary work.

In April we honored Addison Ramer as one of our Students of the Month. Addy has been a member of the National Honor Society, Leo Club, Travel Club and Honors Student while at Blackhawk. She is also a member of the CCBC Aviation Academy and on the Dean’s List for that program for 2 years. She is a 4 year softball player including on traveling teams and organized a charity softball event called “Dingers for Dallas”. Addy will be attending Penn State Beaver to major in business and will continue her softball career as well.

Our March Student of the Month from Beaver County Christian School was Joy Detrow. Joy has been busy during her high school career with Track & Field, Cross Country, and Volleyball while also being a part of the musicals and plays, chorus / ensemble, and band. She kept active all while keeping up with her studies and staying on the Honor Roll for all four years. Joy is active with her community helping at her church with Youth Group, Child Care, and Vacation Bible School. Joy completed an internship in the BCCS Elementary School which will be invaluable as she attends Geneva to major in Elementary and Early Childhood Education.

Lyndsey Sedon was our March Student of the Month from Blackhawk High School. Lyndsey is involved with the National Honor Society, LEO Club, Student Ambassadors, and Middle School tutoring. She is a member of the Cross Country and Track & Field teams as well as Cheering. Outside of school she has been competitively dancing for over 14 years. Her hobbies include dog sitting and crocheting. She will be enrolling at Penn State Main to major in biology with a plan to then attend medical school to focus on a career as an orthopedic surgeon.

Our BCCS Student of the Month for February was Ethan Noland. Ethan has been involved with theater productions at BCCS along with Wrestling and Track and Field. Ethan also enjoys bring outdoors and hunting and fishing. He stays active with his church and Theological Youth Seminary as well as helping to plan youth retreats. Ethan will be attending Geneva College to study Biblical Studies and Business.

Lily Ceriani was honored as our Student of the Month for February from Blackhawk High School. Lily has been a 4 year member of the LEO Club as well as a member of NHS, Prom Committee and a Student Ambassador. Lily is not only a member of the Tennis team, but she has also helped coach tennis. She volunteers within our community and with her church. She will be continuing at CCBC where she is currently taking classes in the Dual Enrollment program and will be focusing on nursing with plans to continue to be a Nurse Anesthetist.

Kael Knepshield was honored as our January Student of the Month at Blackhawk High School. Kael is involved with GSA, NHS, Student Council, Tri-M, Concert Choir, Show Choir, Global Scholars, and Student Sustainability at school. He also stays busy outside of school with being a Camp Counselor and VBS Volunteer Leader. Kael can often be found assisting the Chippewa Parks & Recreation Department with their activities including returning this summer as a counselor. He has also taken a turn in our very own dunk tank at the Chippewa Carnival. Kael will be heading to Robert Morris in the Fall.
