🚨 Fireworks Schedule Update 🚨

The Chippewa Township Fire Department would like to inform our community that, due to the forecast for inclement weather on Saturday, July 18, we have made the decision to move our Annual Fireworks Display to Friday, July 17.

This decision was not made lightly, but the safety of our residents, visitors, volunteers, and fireworks crew is our highest priority. Moving the event to Friday provides the best opportunity for everyone to safely enjoy this year’s display.

We understand this change may be an inconvenience for some, and we sincerely appreciate your understanding and continued support.

We look forward to seeing everyone Friday evening at 10 PM for a safe and spectacular fireworks show! 🎆🚒🇺🇸

Tonight we begin our week of serving the community at the Chippewa Township Volunteer Fire Department, Annual Carnival! Help our awesome volunteers beat the heat by putting them into the dunk tank! All proceeds help benefit the community. Thank you and see you soon!

We had a great time at the Blackhawk Area Soccer Association Community Days! Visitors of all ages had a fun time dunking some of the coaches and board members.

Joseph Simon was our Student of the Month for May from Blackhawk High School. Joe is a member of the National Honor Society, Student Ambassadors, and Prom Committee. Joe is a member of the soccer, football, and tennis teams. His community service includes Pitter Patter Place Childcare, Beaver Elderly Care and Rehabilitation Center, HXP, Manna House, and being a Church Youth Group leader. Joe also enjoys collecting Legos and working on them with his family. In the Fall, Joe will be attending BYU Idaho to major in Civil Engineering

Anna Witterman was celebrated at our May meeting as a BCCS Student of the Month. While earning Highest Honors in academics all four years, Anna has been a part of the varsity basketball and volleyball teams all four years including captain of both teams her Senior year. She has played the flute in the BCCS Band, participated in Academic Games, and been a member of the Student Council for which she was President this past year. At her church Anna has been a nursery helper, member of the worship team, Vacation Bible School helper, Youth Group worship team member, and 3 on 3 Coach. Anna will be attending Gannon University for their Physician Assistant Program.
