Tonight we installed a new course in the lake. This one is heavy duty and should last for quite a few years. Thanks - Justin Logan Andrew Shea, Dean Gommel, Steve Zangmeister, and Hank Wait.

Dear Supporters of Chippewa Lake Watersports Association

I apologize for not reaching out about the club earlier this spring. Life has been busy. Shannon and I welcomed our son, Camden Charles into the world on May 15th.

I have had several people call and email about the course and Monday night skiing.

I have decided to scale the club back this summer so I could focus on my career and family. We will not being having Monday night skiing, waterski clinics or the barefoot tournament. I would still be happy to help anybody out with learning the course if you need, FYI.

The Slalom course will remain in the lake as long as it is funded. When the club was set up it was set up as a cash forward business. All of the fundraising and membership dues from past years funded everything (the slalom course insurance) for this summer. As long as our membership money rolls in over the summer of 2013 the course will be in the lake for 2014. Please note that the course is not "Tim's Course" as I often hear....but it is the club's course. As long as the people who use it financially support it and help maintain it, the course will remain.

I need to update the paypal links for the site, as well as the membership form. This will be done next week.

That being said... Last year we bought a new heavy duty slalom course kit to replace the portable "test" course that we put in the lake a few years ago. I would like to put it in the lake this Sunday June 23rd (my preference) or next Sunday June 30th at 6PM. It will be a messy job that will require lots of swimming. If you can help on either day please email me back.

Finally.... The number one request is how do I connect with other skiers.... Short from posting every-bodies name/number on the website I don't know the best way. Maybe facebook? Here is the link if you want to like CLWA:
