New this year we are teaming up with so if you bring in a brand new bike helmet you get $5 off your meal!
We have had some questions about what they do and how they determine who gets the helmets.
This is from the team:
Our goal is to collect helmets that we can provide to children and community members to help protect them from serious injuries while riding equipment such as electric scooters and bicycles.
We have already had the opportunity to set up a booth at another grieving parents’ fundraising bike ride, Ryde4Ryker, where we shared safety information and provided helmets and stickers. We would like to continue building on these efforts in Stella’s memory.
One of our goals is to potentially start a memorial bike ride for Stella, where we could provide helmets to attendees who do not have one of their own. We also have ideas for setting up a safety booth at events such as National Night Out, where we could provide helmet and riding-safety information and potentially hold raffles for bicycles. Any bicycle given away through these efforts would also include a helmet, donated in Stella’s memory.
Through SLOTH, we hope to turn our grief into something that helps protect others and keeps Stella’s legacy of love, safety, and helping others alive.
