💪 The Chippewa Valley is ready to MOVE - almost 200 people have joined so far! 💙

Enrollment is happening across our YMCA locations, and now it’s your turn to join in! The Move Chippewa Valley Challenge kicks off May 17 and runs through August 8.

Commit to moving 150 minutes each week and stay active all summer—while earning chances to win prizes along the way! 🎉 Whether you walk, swim, bike, dance, or try something new, every minute counts.

We’ll wrap up 12 weeks of movement by celebrating together at the Pure Water Day Races on August 8 🏁. Join a race, volunteer, or come cheer on the finishers as we cross the line together!

✨Meet Celeste Swoboda, our Chippewa Falls YMCA Early Learning Community Child Care Director!✨

Celeste is a lifelong member of the Chippewa Falls community with 39 years of experience in the early childhood education field. Her career has included roles as an infant teacher, early childhood program director, and family child care provider, giving her a deep, practical understanding of high-quality early learning across multiple settings.

Throughout her career, Celeste has been a strong advocate for the early childhood profession, representing providers at the local, state, and national levels. For the past nine years, she has traveled nationwide training educators in the implementation of Creative Curriculum, supporting teachers in creating developmentally appropriate, engaging learning environments for young children.

Celeste is the proud mother of three grown daughters and grandmother to seven grandchildren. She and her husband, Scott, enjoy camping and traveling together.
She looks forward to partnering with children, staff, and families in Early Learning Center and is committed to fostering a welcoming, collaborative community. Her door is always open.

💚 The Chippewa Valley is getting ready to MOVE—together! 💚

Communities across the Chippewa Valley are gearing up for the MOVE Chippewa Valley Challenge, a 12‑week movement journey focused on connection, consistency, and community. The goal is simple and powerful: move 150 minutes each week for 12 weeks—from May 17 through August 8—as we build healthy habits together this summer.

Whether it’s walking, biking, stretching, strength training, or anything that gets you moving, this challenge is for everyone. Every minute counts, and no matter where you’re starting, our goal is to cross the finish line together.

🎉 We’ll celebrate the end of the challenge at the YMCA Pure Water Day Races on August 8 at the Chippewa Falls YMCA—our community finish line and a perfect way to wrap up the summer of movement. Run, Walk, Volunteer, Cheer! (You do not need to attend the races to complete the challenge)
