Partnership Mexico, Inc. was established in October of 2012, though its roots and history go back 14 years earlier. In February of 1998, I, Jim Woldhuis joined a mission/construction group on a trip to Nazareno, Mexico. During the week I was asked to preach at the midweek service of a mission church in Torreon. Pastor Paco is the evangelistic church planter who was ministering to the poorest of th
e poor in a squatter’s village area of Torreon. That night he and I began a friendship and joint ministry that are still growing. Since that first night in Torreon we’ve organized 12 more mission/construction trips. Through these, God has provided the finances to purchase property and help build 2 churches, a parsonage, and a Christian school. We have also provided support for several Vacation Bible Schools and evangelistic outreaches. In addition, we have taught English classes, trained and equipped several Mexican church women to quilt. We provide regular missionary support to the pastors and their families. From building and padding church pews, to wiring, plumbing, and putting on the roofs, our teams have been a part of helping to advance God’s Kingdom in both Torreon and LaLoma. Participants in these trips have come from several different churches in the upper midwest United States. Ongoing support comes from both individuals and churches. In October of 2012, Partnership Mexico, Inc. was formed to ensure the continuation of ministry and to expand our base of supporters. We currently have a 3 member board of directors: Jim Woldhuis, Brent Tilton and Glenn Woods. Our bylaws prohibit any officer or member from receiving any remuneration. All proceeds given to Partnership Mexico, Inc. go directly to support the ministry of the gospel in Torreon and LaLoma Mexico, as directed by Pastor Paco Cuellar and his son, Pastor Francisco Cuellar.
