Because of your love, support, and generosity, the Bella Joy Foundation has been able to provide 264 Bella’s Butterfly Boxes, supporting 264 families walking through unimaginable loss.

This would not have been possible without each and every one of you who donated, prayed, shared, and stood beside this mission. Every box was created with so much love, care, and intention—truly from the heart.

But here’s something many may not realize…
Some of those boxes have held space for more than one baby.
Twins. Multiples. More than one heartbeat… deeply loved and deeply missed.

So while the number is 264 boxes, the number of babies honored is even greater. Each box represents a life that mattered.
A baby who will always be remembered.
A family who was reminded they are not alone.

We carry each of these stories in our hearts, and we are so grateful to you for helping us bring comfort into some of the darkest moments.

At this time, after much prayer and reflection, we will be pausing the Bella Joy Foundation. Please know this decision was not made lightly. It has been deeply prayed over and carefully considered.

This pause will also give us the time needed to restructure, grow, and find a permanent space so that we can continue this mission in a more sustainable and impactful way in the future. On a personal level, we also feel called to take this time to focus on our family, our mental health, and some major life transitions—including our current journey of finding a forever home. The last few years we have been renting. While things have not unfolded as we initially hoped, especially with the home and location we felt so strongly about, we are choosing to trust that God’s plan is greater than our own and that He is aligning things exactly as they are meant to be.

I created this last week to post but forgot to post it. We will be actually be giving Mayo, EC 10 boxes this week I was able to put together 10 of them for a total of 264 boxes in total since the beginning. We will also be making an important announcement in the coming days please

We finally have them all together 🤍🦋

42 Bella’s Butterfly Boxes are ready to go out the door. Tomorrow, we’ll be traveling to Marshfield to deliver boxes, and over the next few days, we’ll be bringing them to two more hospitals as well.

Each box represents love, comfort, and remembrance for a mama walking through unimaginable loss—and we are so honored to be able to provide them.

As we prepare to send all of these out, we are completely out of candles, fuzzy socks, and even boxes themselves. We were only able to place a small supply order due to limited funding, and right now, we truly need help to continue.

🦋 They’re almost ready… 🦋

After many late nights, full hearts, and a lot of love poured into every detail… these Bella’s Butterfly Boxes are just about ready to go.

Each box you see here represents comfort, remembrance, and support for a mama walking through the unimaginable—losing a pregnancy or infant. These aren’t just boxes… they are gentle hugs, quiet understanding, and a reminder that no mother is alone in her grief.

We’re putting the finishing touches on a few more, and then they will be heading out the door to our local hospitals. 💜

But here’s the honest part…

With all of these boxes going out, our supplies—and funding—are running low.
And once these are gone, we won’t be able to continue providing boxes without support.

1 in 4.

Which means if you’re in a room with four women…
one of us is carrying a grief you can’t see.

One of us has lost a baby.
Or lost the version of our life we thought we’d have.
Or heard silence where there should’ve been a heartbeat.
Or sat on a bathroom floor, staring at a test, already loving someone the world never got to meet.

And you wouldn’t know it.

Because we still show up.
We still smile.
We still answer, “I’m good.”
We still celebrate other people’s milestones while quietly holding our own ache.

1 in 4 means the statistic isn’t distant.
It isn’t rare.
It isn’t “someone else.”

It’s your sister.
Your best friend.
Your coworker.
The mom standing next to you at pickup.
The woman laughing at the table.

Maybe it’s you.

Grief doesn’t always look like tears.

Good news! Our Bella Joy Foundation cupboard is currently full of lotion… for now! 🎉

I have about 35 Bella’s Butterfly Boxes to prepare for our local hospitals. As soon as our custom boxes arrive next week, we’ll start filling them and getting them delivered. Once those are packed, our shelves will be empty again — so please keep the donations coming. 💜

Our boxes are custom made for Bella Joy Foundation through Vistaprint, and our newest order should arrive next week so we can begin assembling the next round of comfort boxes. 📦🦋
